In February 2026, more than 55 industry stakeholders gathered for the Run on Less – Messy Middle Data Workshop — a unique, Chatham House Rule event where analysts, fleets, OEMs, infrastructure providers, nonprofits, and consultants shared independent interpretations of the same real-world dataset of data collected during the Run.

The presentations focused on efficiency, total cost of ownership, emissions, infrastructure, and operational behaviors. The presenters analyzed identical operational data from the Run and reached a variety of conclusions. Fleets also attended the potluck and peppered presenters with questions following their presentations.

The event was a success and further demonstrated that there currently is not one technology that will define the future of freight, but rather a variety of solutions based on use case and duty cycles.
